About Dalaman

Dalaman airport serves the coast from Dalyan to Ölüdeniz: Göcek is about 25 km away by road, Fethiye about 58 km and Ölüdeniz about 68 km. With a car, the road to Fethiye passes a tolled tunnel, the Ölüdeniz lagoon charges for entry, and the listed forests stay closed until 31 October 2026.

Fethiye town

The harbour town on Fethiye bay, with its marina below wooded hills. It suits a base for the whole coast, with Çalış about 8 km and Ölüdeniz about 15 km away by road, and a month in town.

Car and parking

The metropolitan municipality market car park charges 60 TL for the first hour, 100 TL up to two hours, 50 TL for each further hour and 4,250 TL a month. The intercity bus terminal car park is free for 25 minutes, then 50 TL up to an hour and 3,750 TL a month.

Çalış

The long beach with a promenade north of Fethiye town. It suits a beach stay within reach of the town, and a month by the sea.

Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü

The lagoon and the long beach below the mountains, with Hisarönü on the road between Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, about 11 km from Fethiye harbour. It suits a beach holiday.

The lagoon is the Ölüdeniz-Kıdrak nature park: in 2026 a car pays 255 TL to enter, while foreign visitors pay a per-person fee of five to ten times the 85 TL domestic ticket instead. The Kayaköy and Ölüdeniz forests and Babadağ are closed to entry until 31 October 2026.

Göcek

A marina village on the bay north-west of Fethiye, about 25 km from the airport by road. It suits a harbour stay and the shortest airport run.

The metropolitan transport company runs two car parks in Göcek but publishes no tariff for them. The Göcek and Dalaman to Göcek forests are on the fire-season list until 31 October 2026.

Dalyan

The river town facing the rock tombs of Kaunos, reached through Ortaca, with İztuzu beach at the river mouth. It suits a stay close to the airport, with the ruins and the beach a short drive away.
