Bodrum town

The town around its harbour and the castle of the Knights Hospitaller, which houses the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology. It suits a short stay on foot and a month in town.

No municipal car park tariff for the town centre was found. The metropolitan municipality car park at the intercity bus terminal in Torba, about 5.5 km from the castle by road, is free for 25 minutes, then 65 TL up to an hour, 90 TL up to two hours and 40 TL for each further hour, or 4,000 TL a month. Parking on pavements, at junctions or at bus stops is enforced: the municipality referred 3,564 vehicles for action in 2026 by August.

Gümbet and Bitez

Two bays west of the town, Gümbet about 4 km from the castle by road and Bitez about 9 km. They suit a beach stay within a short drive of the town.

Turgutreis

The marina town in the south-west of the peninsula, with a lighthouse on its breakwater, about 20 km from the castle by road. It suits a town base on the west side, and a month.

Two metropolitan municipality car parks charge 60 TL for the first hour, 100 TL up to two hours and 40 TL for each further hour. The Çağdaş Yaşam Merkezi car park lists 4,000 TL a month and the Eski Otogar car park 3,750 TL.
