About Paros

Paros airport sits about 11 km by road from the port at Parikia and about 20 km from Naousa. Both towns close streets to cars from spring to the end of October, so the base decides where the car spends the night.

Parikia

The capital and main port of Paros, with Livadia beach about 1.5 km from the centre and the airport about 11 km away. It suits ferry arrivals, short stays and a month outside summer.

Car and parking

From 1 May to 31 October 2026 the seafront road, Giannis Parios, is pedestrian from 14:00 to 05:00 between the KTEL stop and the Bountaraki bridge, and Mando Mavrogenous square is pedestrian all day, all year. The Anargyros car park is on Agias Theoktistis street; ask the host where to park before arrival.

Naousa

The harbour town of the north coast, about 10.5 km by road from Parikia, with beaches such as Kolymbithres about 5 km away. It suits evenings out on foot around the harbour and a beach base with a car.

Car and parking

The square and the harbour area are pedestrian from 4 April to 30 October 2026, with deliveries from 07:00 to 13:00. In July 2026 the municipality commissioned a traffic and parking study for Naousa, citing the summer parking problem, and at nearby Santa Maria it fenced off a wetland that had served as a car park for more than 40 years. No official car park list was found, so ask the host where to park.

Lefkes and Prodromos

Inland villages above the east coast. Lefkes, about 11 km from Parikia, was the island's first capital and keeps the church of Agia Triada, completed in 1835, with marble bell towers; a Byzantine path paved with Parian marble links it with Prodromos. They suit walkers and a quiet base with a car.

Car and parking

The municipality signed leases for two car parks in Prodromos in August 2026. No official parking source for Lefkes was found as of September 2026, so ask the host.

The east coast (Piso Livadi to Drios)

A run of beaches and small harbours on the east side, from Piso Livadi past Logaras and Golden Beach to Drios, about 16 to 20 km by road from Parikia. It suits a beach holiday with a car.

Car and parking

Piso Livadi is one of the three places in the traffic and parking study the municipality commissioned in July 2026. No official parking source for Logaras, Golden Beach or Drios was found as of September 2026, so ask the host.

Aliki

A village on the south coast with a fishing shelter and a beach, about 5 km by road from the airport, the closest base to it. It suits early or late flights and a quiet beach stay; Parikia is about 13 km away.

Car and parking

In February 2026 the municipality approved leasing two adjoining plots, 6,068 m2 in all, for a car park about 300 m from Aliki's seafront road, which is pedestrianised at times, and from the beach; whether it has opened was not verified as of September 2026. Aliki is also in the July 2026 traffic and parking study.

Antiparos

The small island across the strait from Pounta, about 7 minutes by car ferry. It suits a quieter base and day trips back to Paros by car.

The car ferry from Pounta runs daily all year; tickets are sold on board, by cash or card, there are no reservations, and drivers park first and pay after. One Paros rental company forbids taking its cars on any ferry except the Paros to Antiparos line without written permission.
