The metropolitan municipality car parks at Alsancak Punta and under Alsancak charge 150 TL for up to two hours, 300 TL for 12 to 24 hours and 7,500 TL a month; the fully automatic car park in Alsancak charges 200 to 360 TL. A lost ticket costs the full day rate.
Konak Square with the clock tower of 1901, and the Kemeraltı market streets. It suits a short stay by the bazaar and the ferry piers.

The Bostanlı multi-storey car park charges 80 TL for up to two hours, 160 TL for 12 to 24 hours and 3,000 TL a month, the lowest monthly rate in the municipal tariff. The İzdeniz car ferry from Bostanlı to Üçkuyular costs 240 TL for a car, or 200 TL on weekday off-peak sailings.

The town beside Ephesus, with the İsa Bey Mosque, about 59 km from the airport by road. It suits a base for Ephesus.

The motorway toll from the airport junction to Belevi, the exit for Selçuk, is 53 TL for a car in 2026. The Meryemana forest beside Ephesus is closed to entry until 31 October 2026, the ruins themselves excluded, so do not stop on the forest road.
Where to stay
İzmir gives a driver three choices: the city on the bay, the Çeşme peninsula about 90 km west of the centre, or Selçuk beside Ephesus to the south. The city car parks publish their prices, and the motorways out charge tolls.
