Airport
Brindisi airport is about 5 km by road from the city centre. The STP bus runs to the railway station every 30 minutes from 05:00 to 00:15 for EUR 1.10, and on to the ferry port between 08:15 and 20:45. Source

Brindisi

The port city next to the airport. It suits a night before an early flight or a ferry, or a base with Lecce and Ostuni both about 40 km away, more than a beach holiday.

Car and parking

No official page with Brindisi's ZTL zones and hours or its city parking tariffs was found as of September 2026, so ask the host where to park. The STP bus links the airport, the railway station, the Via del Mare car park and the ferry port for EUR 1.10.

Lecce

The baroque city in the middle of the Salento, with Gallipoli about 41 km and Otranto about 48 km away and San Cataldo beach about 13 km. It suits a city stay or a month with both coasts in day-trip range.

Car and parking

The comune is closing the historic centre to unauthorised vehicles step by step: the zone around Porta Napoli has run round the clock since July 2025, and accommodation owners have needed new transit authorisations since 1 January 2026. Red-zone bays cost EUR 1.50 an hour, Monday to Saturday, and the park and ride at the Ex Foro Boario and Largo Cimitero costs EUR 2 a day or EUR 15 a month with the bus.

Ostuni

The white hill town above the olive plain north-west of Brindisi, about 39 km from its airport, with its coast at Villanova about 7 km away. It suits a stay in a small town with the coast in reach.

Car and parking

The centro storico is a ZTL. The comune issues permits to residents and to owners or tenants of property inside the zone, and to hotels only for loading goods, so plan to park outside the old town.

Otranto

A walled harbour town on the Adriatic with a town bay for swimming, and Santa Maria di Leuca about 48 km south. It suits a beach stay on the eastern coast; its tourist tax applies only from April to October.

Car and parking

From 15 June to 15 September 2026 the seasonal gates run in the evening: Via Cappuccini from 20:00 to 06:00 and Via San Francesco di Paola from 18:00 to 06:00. Municipal parking areas are paid from 1 April to 31 October.

Gallipoli

The old town on its island on the Ionian coast, with the Purità beach under its walls and Baia Verde about 7 km away. It suits a beach stay on the western coast; the tourist tax applies only from April to October.

Car and parking

In 2026 the whole old town is a camera zone from the bridge, from 11:00 to midnight in April, May and October and from 11:00 to 03:00 between June and September; hotels inside register guests through the comune's portal to drop off and collect luggage. The May 2025 parking order charges EUR 1.50 an hour in the centre and EUR 6 a day at the stadium car park.
