No. Anyone staying overnight in the comune, Mestre and the Lido included, is exempt but must register on cda.ve.it and carry the QR code. In 2026 the fee applied to day visitors over 14 on 60 days between 3 April and 26 July.
It depends on type, category and zone: EUR 1 to EUR 5 per person per night in historic-centre hotels, and EUR 3 to EUR 5 in tourist rentals anywhere in the comune. It stops after five nights, is 30 percent lower in January, and children under 10 pay nothing.
